Situation 2, Lost password data without updating your browser from Maxthon4 to Maxthon5.

This might cause by other computer software issues, you can try recover through backup files (as long as you didn't uninstall Maxthon):

1, Back up your data:

Start (win+R);

Type %appdata% and enter;

Find and open "Maxthon3" or "Maxthon5" folder – Users – your account, make a copy of this folder to backup;

2, Shut off the Internet, and then find the backup file from %appdata%>Maxthon5>Users>name of your account>backup>magicfill. Then copy the file which you think is the complete and latest.

3, Rename the file as mxpwd.dat

4, Find the location of the file which you currently used: %appdata%>Maxthon 5>Users>your account>magicfill, rename the file maxpwd.dat and then paste the mxpwd.dat which you copied in the last step.

5, Launch Maxthon 5, slightly change the list entries, such as passkeeper>autosaved passwords>find a record to change the title, "facebook" changed to "facebook1", then close the browser.

6, Connect to the internet, launch Maxthon

7, the data will be synced automatically, solved.
